Radiating Ellipse table
For this piece I wanted to explore movement within a textured surface and the making of the radiating Oak segments pushed the texturing process to its limits. The table is made from one large piece of oak and to prevent the segments from moving in different climatic conditions I have used modern cabinet making methods.
Despite the top being completely sealed and able to withstand spillages, the client asked to have an elliptical piece of glass made for the top to future proof all scenarios.
The table was featured in country life magazine.
