Anniversary chair

Commissioned to commemorate the special occasion of a silver wedding anniversary, the anniversary chair has been designed to feel elegant with the upmost comfort in a contemporary context.

A specified range of pigmented texture samples were initially made to “live with” helping visualise the perfect leather combination within the existing interior decor.

Hand sculpting techniques and traditional cabinet making tools have been used to achieve the highly organic unions of the component forms.

A great hidden success within this piece is the leather upholstery work. To create a pure organic form the leather simply wraps underneath and disappears into a perimeter groove detail.
